A head on car crash in Algonac has claimed the life of one and caused minor injuries to another. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s office responded to the crash Friday afternoon on St. Clair River Drive near Liberty Street in Algonac. Authorities say a 68 year old man driving a car was traveling northbound when he crossed the center line, into the path of an oncoming pickup truck. The man driving the car was taken to a Metro Detroit hospital by Tri-Hospital EMS where he later died of his injuries. The driver of the truck, an 18 year old from New Baltimore, sough treatment for minor injuries. Deputies say the 68 year old man have experienced a medical incident prior to the crash which remains under investigation.
