One has died following a fatal watercraft collision on Lake St. Clair in Clay Township over the weekend. St. Clair County Sheriff’s Deputies say a jet ski collided with a boat on Big Muscamoot Bay around 7pm Saturday. The operator and lone occupant of the jet ski, identified as a 30 year old from Belleville, was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The operator of the vessel fled the scene but was located by Macomb County sheriff’s deputies a short time later. They were uninjured and investigations into the collision continue. The Sheriff’s department was assisted by the US Coast Guard and crews from the Clay Township fire department.
