Work starts on pair of area road projects

A month-long, $385,000 resurfacing project gets underway today on North Road in St. Clair County’s Clyde Township. The project calls for new pavement between Lightle and Keewahdin road and a new turn lane at Kraft Raod. Work will be performed by Ace-Saginaw Paving and is expected to be completed by the first week of September. he St. Clair County Road Commission will also be extending the right turn lane for northbound North Road at Kraft.

Another project gets underway in the City of Port Huron today. Crews will be performing sewer separation work along Hancock Street between Pine Grove and the M-25 connector. The eastbound two lanes of Hancock will be closed, with traffic reduced to one lane in each direction, and shifted onto the westbound lanes of Hancock. The project will wrap up in December and once completed, a center turn lane will be added to Hancock Street.
