The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of suspicious fires in the Algonac area dating back to earlier this month. The fires were reported March 2nd, 3rd, and 15th at locations on St. Clair River Drive, Algona Lane, and St. Clair Boulevard. All three homes were vacant at the time of the fires. No injuries were reported. Members of the Algonac Fire Department were called to the scene of each blaze and were assisted by crews from Clay and Ira Township and Marine City. Anyone with any information regarding the fires is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office Fire Investigation Unit at 987-1731.
