Khloe Austin had to make a four point play with seven seconds left in regulation to force overtime on Friday night, as the Marine City girl’s basketball team avoided an upset and beat Algonac 54-47 to win a district title. Austin finished the game with 26 points and 20 rebounds. Emily Nugent scored 23 points for Algonac. Marine City head to the regional at Goodrich on Tuesday to play Lake Fenton.
