Sail in Cafe to close at the end of March

The Sail in Cafe, located inside the Blue Water Transit Center, will be closing its doors in one month’s time. The convenience store and cafe is owned and operated by St. Clair County Community Mental Health who uses the store as a training site for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. According to the St. Clair County CMH, the agency will be restructuring their programs for such individuals and will be closing the Sail In Cafe. Community Mental Health adds that they will continue to train individuals for skills in the retail and food service industries at their Port Huron Headquarters on Electric Avenue. The final day for the Sail In Cafe will be March 27th.
