The New Jersey Devils exploded for four goals in the third period on Thursday night to beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-1 in New Jersey. Andreas Athanasiou scored the lone Detroit goal in the second period. The Wings will play in Boston on Saturday afternoon and in Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon to complete a four game road trip.
