The New York Islanders pounded the Detroit Red Wings 8-2 on Tuesday night in New York. Filip Hronek and Givani Smith scored for the Wings who have lost two in a row. For Smith it was his first career goal in the NHL. Detroit is home to face Pittsburgh on Friday night.
