Statewide gas prices have decreased about a dime over the past week, according to the latest gas price survey by AAA of Michigan. The auto club says the current statewide average is $2.48 a gallon for regular unleaded. That is about 2 cents more than this time last month yet still 21 cents less than this time last year. Across the local area, pumps in Macomb county are around $2.53 a gallon, in Sanilac County, gas is about $2.50 on average, and in both Lapeer and St. Clair County, pumps are asking about $2.48 a gallon.
