No. 11 Michigan State opened conference play on Sunday night with a 77-65 win over Rutgers in East Lansing. Cassius Winston had a game high 23 points, while Xavier Tillman scored 16 and grabbed ten rebounds in the win. The Spartans (6-3) will face Oakland University next Saturday at the Palace of Auburn Hills in a non league game.
