
A Thrusday night crash in Lapeer County has claimed the life of one. Lapeer County Sheriff’s Deputies say it happened around 7pm Thursday at the intersection of Silverwood Road and Waffer Road in Lapeer County’s Rich Township. 44 year old Ronald Romanowski was the driver and lone occupant of an SUV that was traveling north on Silverwood Road. He struck a deer that was in the roadway and entered a ditch, rolling over into a nearby field. Romanowski was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle. Lapper County Sheriff’s Deputies and Michigan State Police responded to the crash and Romanowski was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
