Willi Castro doubled in the game winning run in the top of the 11th on Friday night, as the Detroit Tigers beat the Oakland A’s 5-4. The Tigers came back after falling behind 4-0 early, as Dawel Lugo picked up three hits and 2 RBI, and Christin Stewart hit a home run and knocked in a pair of runs. The Tigers and A’s meet again on Saturday night in Oakland in game two of a three game series.
