A man is recovering from a weekend car-motorcycle crash on Lakeshore Road. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred just before 5pm Sunday in the 45-hundred block of Lakeshore Road. A 46 year old Fort Gratiot Township man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound when a northbound car driven by a 20 year old man from Yale turned left in front of the bike. The motorcycle crashed into the car head on, ejecting the driver of the bike. He was taken to an area hospital and later transferred to a Detroit Area Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the car and his 20 year old passenger were not injured. The accident remains under investigation and Sheriff’s deputies say the driver of the car is suspected of being under the influence of drugs.
