Wings Go With D At Draft

The NHL draft began on Friday in Vancouver, and the Detroit Red Wings selected three defensemen in their first four selections.  With the sixth overall pick in the first round, the Wings took 6’4″ 207 lbs German d-man Mortiz Seider.  In the second round the Wings selected three more times, grabbing d-man Antti Tuomisto out of Finland with the 35th overall pick, forward Robert Mastrosimone out of the USHL with the 54th overall pick, and d-man Albert Johansson out of Sweden with the 60th overall pick.  The draft will continue on Saturday with the final five rounds.
