The Detroit Red Wings won for the first time since Valentine’s Day, ending an eight game winless drought with a 3-2 shootout victory over the New York Rangers on Thursday night. Andreas Athanasiou scored in regulation and tallied the only goal in the shootout, while Tyler Bertuzzi added the other Detroit goal. The Red Wings play in Tampa Bay on Saturday night.
