Statewide gas prices have increased about 11 cents over the past week in Michigan, that according to AAA. The auto club reports the average price for regular unleaded is $2.15 a gallon, which is 92 cents per gallon less than what drivers paid just three months ago, and 59 cents per gallon less than this time last year. Across the local area, pumps in Sanilac and Lapeer counties are asking $2.13 on average for regular unleaded, meanwhile pumps in Macomb County are asking $2.07, and here in St. Clair County, the average price for a gallon of gasoline is $2.15.
