Marine City will finish a great season at (10-3) after falling 35-14 to undefeated Portland on Saturday in the D5 high school football semi-final at Howell. Angelo Patsalis had both Mariners touchdowns, scoring on a 98 yard kick return and a 53 yard run. Portland (13-0) rushed for 290 yards, as Jacob Veale gained 133 and scored two touchdowns. Portland will play Hudsonville Unity Christian next Saturday at Ford Field in the championship game.
