
James DeLong had three touchdowns in the second half to lead the Port Huron Northern Huskies to a 21-14 win over the Port Huron High Big Reds on Friday night in high school football action. PHHS took a 14-0 lead at the half on a 10 yard touchdown pass to Luke Vander Feyst and a one yard run by Jonny Oriel. The Huskies came back with two quick touchdowns late in the 3rd quarter by Delong, the first on a nine yard run and the second on a 35 yard pass play. In the fourth quarter DeLong scored the go ahead touchdown on a 31 yard pass play. Northern is now (6-1) on the season and has clinched a playoff spot for the third year in a row. The Huskies (4-0) in the Mac-Blue will play Roseville for the league title next Friday. Port Huron falls to (2-5) on the season, the Big Reds face Lakeview next week in St. Clair Shores.
