The State Senate and House have approved a minimum wage and paid sick time proposal that was expected to go before voters in November. Both plans were not given “immediate effect” meaning the laws won’t go into effect until next year. The proposal would gradually increase the minimum wage to $12 an hour. Lansing Bureau Chief Tim Skubick reports Republicans can change the measure after the election in November during the lame duck session.
