
The Detroit Tigers lost in the bottom of the 13th on Friday night, falling 1-0 to the Oakland A’s. Oakland rookie Ramon Laureano got his first Big League hit and an RBI, driving the only run of the game with a walk off single. Blaine Hardy had an excellent start for Detroit, pitching seven shutout innings, while allowing just one hit with six strike outs. Game two of a three game series is set for Saturday night in Oakland.
