
The Detroit Red Wings singed three players on Sunday as NHL free agency began. Detroit brought back defenseman Mike Green, who has been with the team the last three seasons. Green gets a two year deal worth $10.75 million. Detroit also signed goalie Jonathan Bernier to a three year deal worth $9 million. The Wings are Bernier’s fifth team in his career. Last year he won 19 games and posted a 2.85 goals against with a .913 save percentage for Colorado. The Wings also brought back forward Thomas Vanek on a one year deal worth $3 million. Vanek had 24 goals last season play in both Vancouver and Columbus. he played in 48 games for the Wings back in 2016-17.
