A northern Macomb County Man spent his Memorial Day Weekend in jail after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and shooting up her car. St. Clair County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a Berlin Township home this past Saturday night on reports of a domestic disturbance where shots were fired. Deputies responded but were unable to locate a suspect. Authorities received a second call around am Sunday Morning reporting that the same suspect was trying to force his way into the house. Sheriff’s Deputies were called back to the residence, who were able to locate the 48 year old homeowner and her 62 year old mother and escort them to safety. Authorities then used a special response team robot to search the house for the suspect who was believed to be armed. He was located in the basement and was arrested. The 41 year old Bruce Township Man will face charges including aggravated domestic assault and malicious destruction of property.
