Shane Greene gave up a pair of home runs in the top of the ninth inning, and a Tigers rally in the bottom of the ninth fell short on Monday night, in a 3-2 loss to Tampa Bay at Comerica Park. CJ Cron broke a scoreless tie with a two run home run off Greene, and one out later Brad Miller hit a solo bomb to give Tampa a 3-0 lead. The Tigers loaded the bases in the bottom of the inning and scored two runs on a single by Victor Martinez, but despite reloading the bases could do no further damage. Game two of a three game series is set for Tuesday night in Detroit.
