
The Port Huron High girls softball team won big on Friday, topping Algonac 15-4 in the first game of a scheduled double header. Game two was cancelled do to poor weather. Port Huron rattled out 15 hits and were led by Emma Trombly, who went 4 for 4 with a home run and 6 RBI. Madison Gilbert added 3 hits and 4 RBI for the Big Reds, while Madeline Trombly reached base five times with 3 hits, including two doubles, and two walks, scoring five times. Madeline also tossed a complete game four hitter with 11 strike outs. Shelby Kapanowski paced Algonac by going 3 for 3 with a run and an RBI.
