The Detroit Tigers got their first win of the season on Monday, beating Kansas City 6-1. Victor Martinez had two hits and knocked in three runs for the Tigers, who got 6 2/3 innings from starter Francisco Liriano. Liriano allowed one run and scattered four hits for the victory. Game two of a three game series is set for Tuesday afternoon at Comerica Park.
