The New Haven boy’s basketball team saw a 52 game win streak end on Friday night in a 69-53 loss to Grand Rapids Catholic Central, in the semi-finals of the Class B playoffs. Romeo Weems scored 20 for New Haven, while Tavaras Oliver Jr. added 15, and Ashton Sherrell 12. The Rockets are 74-5 over the last three seasons and were trying to repeat as State Champs. Catholic Central was led by Austin Braun, who scored 31 points.
