Brett Connolly scored in the third period on Thursday night to give the Washington Capitals a 1-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings at LCA. Philipp Grubauer made 38 saves for his third shutout of the season. The Red Wings travel to Toronto on Saturday to take on the Leafs.
