The Detroit Red Wings made a deal before the Monday NHL trade deadline, sending forward Tomas Tatar to Vegas. Detroit acquires a first round draft pick in 2018, a second round pick in 2019, and a third round pick in 2021 from the Golden Knights. The move also frees up $7 million a season in cap space for the Red Wings. Detroit is in St. Louis on Wednesday.
