The Sanilac County Sheriff’s department is investigating an alleged child abuse complaint that sent an 11-month Peck girl to the hospital. Authorities say the child appeared to be assaulted by a male subject during the morning hours Wednesday while she was in the man’s care. The 11-month-old was taken to McKenzie Memorial Hospital and then later transported by helicopter to a Flint area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The suspect is a 22-year old man who under arrest facing charges of Felonious Child Abuse. The incident remains under investigation.
