It’s being boasted as Port Huron’s newest luxury hotel, and remodeling is under way at the former Michigan National Bank on Military street which will become a new City Flats Hotel. WPHM took a tour of the building’s progress with Chuck Reid of Charter House Innovations yesterday. The hotel will feature a large ballroom on the main floor with about 30 “boutique” hotel rooms above. Reid says crews are currently in the process of removing old walls to make way for the new rooms, if all goes well, the Hotel could be open as early as December. Reid adds the hotel will feature the, “Nicest Rooms in Port Huron” which will include an underground parking garage.
