In Port Huron at the Pee Wee and Bantam A Silver Stick Finals, both Port Huron teams were competitive, but both suffered 4-1 losses on Friday night to fall to (0-2-0) in pool play. The Pee Wee A Flags trailed Wawa 2-1 with under a minute to go in the game before allowing two late goals. Kyren Bruno scored the Flags only goal in the second period. In the Bantam A Flags game, it was also a 2-1 game late in the third before the Barrie Jr. Colts scored a pair of late goals to pull away. Carter Belanger scored for Port Huron early in the second period of that game. Both Port Huron teams wrap up pool play on Saturday afternoon, as each plays a team from Howard, Maryland. Over in Sarnia at the Squirt A Finals, Port Huron suffered two losses on Friday, falling 5-0 to Sault Ste. Marie and 17-0 to St. Mary’s Rock. The Squirt A Flags close out the tournament on Saturday morning against Oakville.
