SC4 professor earns accolades from college

St. Clair County Community College has announced their 2018 Distinguished Faculty member. Suzanne O’Brien, professor of English at St. Clair County Community College, is being recognized as the 2018 SC4 Distinguished Faculty Award winner. The award is based on a faculty member’s personal and professional impact with students and colleagues and in the community. It is voted on by the entire faculty membership. O’Brien, of St. Clair Township, began her career at the college in 1988. She received the award during a faculty professional development session Thursday on the Port Huron campus. O’Brien has a doctoral degree from Michigan State University, a master of arts degree and a bachelor of science degree from Eastern Michigan University.
