
The first win of the season for the Port Huron High boy’s basketball team came at the expense of cross-town rival Port Huron Northern. The Big Reds beat the Huskies 48-41 on Friday night in the Ed Peltz Tournament at Northern. Tyler Balon scored 19 for Port Huron, who also got 12 points from Eli Koschnitzke. The Big Reds will play Cros-Lex in the finals at 6 PM on Saturday. Northern will face Marysville in the consolation game at 4:30 PM on Saturday. The Huskies were led by Dane Vos with 10 points and Daonte Johnson with nine.
