
The Algonac Musk Rats downed the Ida Blue Streaks on Saturday in the state high school football playoffs 24-16 at the Swamp in Algonac. Colin Stringer made two huge plays in the win for the Rats, first picking up a fumble and returning it a yard for a touchdown in the third quarter, then sealing the victory with a sack that forced a fumble that was recovered by Algonac with 2:54 left in the game. Grant Stephenson and Jack Jewel each had a rushing touchdown in the win for the Rats (10-1) who travel to Frankenmuth (11-0) next week to play in the regional.
