Alex Ovechkin scored on a power play just 1:56 into overtime on Friday night, as the visiting Washington Capitals beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-3. TJ Oshie had tied the game for the Caps with 61 seconds left in regulation on another Washington power play. Tomas Tatar scored twice for the Wings, who also got a goal from Darren Helm. Detroit, who have lost two in a row, is home to Vancouver on Sunday night.
