In a late night/early morning deal, Sunday going into Monday, the Detroit Tigers have traded closer Justin Wilson and catcher Alex Avila to the Chicago Cubs for two prospects. Detroit gets corner infielder Jeimer Candelario and short stop Isaac Paredes from Chicago. Candelario has played 11 games this season for the Cubs, but has spent most of the year at AAA Iowa with a 266 average and 12 home runs and 52 RBI. Paredes, who is just 18, is currently playing in Class A ball in the Cubs organization.
