
Only 13 yachts left to finish the 2017 Mackinac Race in what has been one of the fastest races in the events 93 year history so far. Five boats from the Port Huron Yacht Club appear to have a burgee won. Good Lookin’ is in first place in Class-D, Liberty is second in Class-F, and its third place for 50/50 in Class-K, Chippewa in Class-N, and Vaite in the Open Class. Il Mostro reached the Island first on Sunday, setting a new record for elapsed time by a mono hull yacht, and only 14 seconds from equaling the all time record set in last years race by Arete’, a local tri-hull owned by Rick Warner of Marine City.
