Tigers Flat In First Game Back

The Detroit Tigers came back from the All-Star break and laid an egg on Friday night, losing 7-2 to the Toronto Blue Jays.  Steve Pearce had three hits, including a home run, for Toronto.  Justin Verlander pitched into the sixth, allowing just two earned runs on 3 hits, but took the loss for the Tigers.  Andrew Romine hit a Detroit home run.  Game two of a three game series is set for Saturday at Comerica Park.
