Mike Mahtook was the hero, as he singled in two runs in the ninth to give the Tigers their first lead of the day, and a 7-5 win in San Diego that ended an eight game losing streak. Mahtook finished with a triple and a single and three RBI in the game. Nicholas Castellanos added a two run home run for Detroit. The Tigers return home on Tuesday to face Kansas City and begin a ten game home stand.
