The game was tied at 3-3 going into the bottom of the seventh, but when the smoke cleared the Boston Red Sox had scored eight times in their last two at bats to beat the Tigers 11-3 on Saturday night in Boston. Nicholas Castellanos and Mikie Mahtook each hit a home run for Detroit, while JD Martinez added three hits. The Tigers try to avoid a sweep, when the meet the Red Sox again in the series finale on Sunday night at Fenway Park.
