Nicholas Castellanos made three errors in the game, including two in the eighth, that led to two unearned runs that broke a 3-3 tie. The Sox belted three home runs in the game, including two off starter Matt Boyd. Justin Upton knocked in a pair of runs for the Tigers, who have lost three in a row. Game two of a three game series is set for Saturday afternoon at Comerica Park.
