Matt Beer scored three goals in an eleven round shootout, lifting the Port Huron Prowlers to a 3-2 win over St. Clair Shores on Saturday night in the FHL season opener for both sides. Shea Carey and Scott Witmyer scored in regulation for the Prowlers, who got 34 saves from Josselin St. Pierre. The two teams will rematch on Sunday in St. Clair Shores at 5 PM.
