It has been awhile since the Michigan State Spartans football team has lost four in a row, but on Saturday the Spartans were out gunned by Northwestern in a wild 54-40 victory for the Wildcats at Spartan Stadium. RJ Shelton had a huge game in the loss, catching seven passes for 190 yards, including touchdowns of 59 and 86 yards. Solomon Vault returned a kick off 95 yards for a score for Northwestern. The Spartans play at Maryland next Saturday night.
