The national Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign begins today, and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the national drunk driving crackdown. From now through September 3rd, extra patrols from the Sheriff’s office and other local law enforcement agencies will take to the roads and will show zero tolerance for drugged and drunk drivers. In a statement to WPHM sheriff Tim Donnellon says, ” drunk and drugged driving continues to be a huge problem in St. Clair County and nationwide.” Last year in Michigan, 320 died last year in Michigan as a result of alcohol-involved crashes and over 200 died in drugged driving incidents.
