Clerks holding special hours due to election

check-boxes

It will be a working weekend for city clerks throughout Michigan. Clerks will open their offices to deal with any election related business. Saturday is the last day for voters to apply for absentee ballots by mail. People can also go to their city clerk to request
absentee ballots in person. People who want an absentee ballot must show identification or they’ll have to sign paperwork that says they don’t have a photo ID. The primary election is Tuesday. Voters are reminded that they need to make their selections entirely within a party’s section of the ballot. For example, one cannot select both Republican and Democratic candidates in the primary election. Polls will be open from 7am until 8pm.
