Those blue recycling bins that you see at the curb every other week in the city of Port Huron will soon be swapped out for a new green container. As a part of the city’s new waste contract, crews will be switching out the current blue bins with larger green bins starting this week. The switch out will occur on your normal recycling collection day. City council earlier this year approved a $9 million bid from Emterra Environmental for five years of trash and recycling removal services which will take effect July first.
