Broadway is coming to Marine City this weekend, as a two-time Tony award-winning director workshops the show “Popcorn Falls,” in anticipation of its New York City debut. The owner of Marine City’s Snug Theater, Kathy Vertin says the show is being performed this weekend as a benefit for the proposed Riverbank Stage Festival and Performing Arts Academy, which would turn the old St. Clair Middle School into a performing arts campus, which would become home to a youth fine arts program, and provide up to four stages for a summer-long theater festival.
