A 17 year old Port Huron High School Student will be facing misdemeanor charges for reporting a threat against the school earlier this week. Brenna Simpson was arrested Monday after Port Huron High’s School Resource Officer was made aware of the threats by staff members. The threat targeted several students at PH and is believed to have stemmed from an ongoing dispute. She was taken into custody and will face charges of attempting an unlawful posting. Authorities originally reported the student would face felony charges of falsely reporting a threat of terrorism. Simpson is barred from entering school property and a preliminary exam is set for Monday May 7th.
