Governor Rick Snyder delivered his final State of the State address in Lansing last night — touching on a number of topics. Snyder started by quoting an article by the Wall Street Journal — praising Michigan’s business tax reform. The governor also said during his final State of the State speech that he’ll announce a Marshall Plan for talent next month. He says the proposal will lay the groundwork for a new way of producing talent in the state. The governor says the plan will get people connected to careers quicker than has been done in the past. The lack of talent was one of the main reasons Amazon did not include Detroit on the list of 20 finalists for its second headquarters.
