Downriver communities in St. Clair County still recovering from ice flows that caused damage to seawalls, boardwalks, and buildings along the St. Clair River. Bill Gratopp is the commissioner for that part of the county, saying the ice is about as bad as he’s ever seen it. Gratopp also says the County Board of Commissioners is back to work, where he says they are making progress on moving St. Clair County forward. Gratopp adds almost all of the union contracts have been settled for county employees. The Board of Commissioners met last Thursday for the first time in 2018.
